Solace’s ‘Embun’: Innovating with Air-to-Water Technology!
KUALA LUMPUR – Solace Synergy Sdn Bhd (Solace) is making waves with its innovative ‘air-to-water’ technology, employing locally manufactured machines.
Established in 2019, the company shifted gears towards intensified Research and Development (R&D) after the pandemic. Their commitment is evident in a significant investment, approximately RM1.5 million, dedicated to the project.
These developments set the stage for Solace’s latest creation – ‘Embun,’ a refreshing alkaline drink poised to hit the shelves next month through their exclusive distributor, Daain Synergy Sdn Bhd, under their Nature Made brand.
Solace Director, Dannial Razali, explains that the ‘Embun’ brand of water is special because it has an alkaline content at a level of 9, and a high level of purity compared to other water sources, thereby distinguishing it from ordinary mineral water. The primary target for this product is individuals who prioritize and care about their health, including active young people who engage in sports.
Dannial says, “Medical studies suggest that drinking high-pH water helps with blood flow, especially after a good workout. ‘Embun’ not only quenches your thirst but also contributes to your health.”
This water isn’t just about being different; it’s designed to address issues like osteoporosis, assist with blood pressure, and soothe stomach problems by neutralizing acid reflux.
To kickstart the launch, Solace plans to roll out about 62,000 packs of ‘Embun’ water monthly, with an eye on ramping up if it gains popularity. Dannial adds, “We’re aiming to capture five percent of the local market with ‘Embun.'”
Intriguingly, Solace is not limiting its innovations to just drinks. They’re exploring the use of the same technology to produce water for dialysis treatments in Malaysia.
The magic behind this ‘air-to-water’ technology occurs with Atmospheric Water Generators (AWG), created in collaboration with experts from Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UNIMAP), such as Professor Madya Dr. Ammar Zakaria, one of the top scientists from Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UNIMAP).
Dannial explains, “With AWG technology, we can harness the water vapor in the surrounding atmosphere and convert it into high-standard, very pure, and clean drinking water.
“Basically, what we are saying is we replicate Mother Nature’s process, the morning dew creation, hence ‘Embun Water,’ and we naturally enhance it to alkaline grade to be more beneficial to the consumer.”
Dannial emphasizes that these machines meet all quality standards. “We’ve obtained certifications from SIRIM and local nuclear authorities, ensuring the water we produce is top-notch.”
Moreover, these machines underwent rigorous testing on offshore oil rigs, where they not only performed flawlessly but also demonstrated their efficiency and reliability. Additionally, they can be easily plugged into the electricity grid, making them ideal for areas dealing with water shortages or emergencies like floods.
Dannial concludes, “Solace isn’t just offering you a safe, clean, and pure water option; we’re also putting local tech on the global map.”
